This set of realistic weapons is part of Thunder Cloud Studio’s Vicious Vikings, developed alongside the characters rather than as separate assets. They are built to support character readability and integration in-engine, with a focus on clean topology, efficient UVs, and physically plausible materials. This approach allows the assets to align closely with the character set while remaining practical for downstream use in real-time production.
The inspiration came from top-notch characters of globally renowned AAA games like God of War, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
The team began modeling the individual weapon parts to prepare for the subsequent stages. All necessary realistic weapons have been prepared for each Viking character, including all stages of production followed by strict standards of triple-A games.

Based on industry-standard pipeline, we worked on the high poly models step-by-step and move to low poly modeling with optimization.

For visual effects, our 3D artists carefully crafted the weather of the texture to enhance the effect of the weapon, such as how to make the sword shining while still create a worn look and feel. As we aim high for creating a remarkable visual look for the Viking 3D models, we managed to stay within the optimized tris-count budget, it was a pleasure and a challenge at the same, the final models are worth it.
